Four Lines is a selection of poetic miniatures from one of the oldest Russian literary sites devoted to the versification game bouts-rimés, composing short poems to given rhymes. These poems are comparable to hokku, limericks or ruba'i. They merge lyricism with humor, sarcasm or irony in a small space of four lines. They are irreverent and philosophical at the same time.
